Common questions

How do I add a route?

Three ways: import a GPX file (from Files, email, or any app that shares .gpx), generate one by telling Valico a start and end (or ask for a loop), or record a drive as you take it. Everything lands in your Library.

What happens if I leave the route while driving?

Valico guides you back onto the route ahead — it does not silently reroute you to the destination. The route you loaded is the route you drive.

Why does Valico ask for background location?

So turn-by-turn guidance keeps working while the screen is off and while you drive with CarPlay. Location is used only to guide you — never for tracking or advertising. See our Privacy Policy.

Is my data private?

Your routes, profile, and drive history stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly publish a route as a share link — and even then the start and end are trimmed so the link never reveals where you live.

How do I remove a route I published as a share link?

Email us at support@valico.app with the link and we'll remove it.
